Biznax’s identity checks are intended to establish whether a supplier profile can be connected to an identifiable business and an associated website or contact channel. This methodology defines the evidence required for a status label. It does not represent a factory audit, product assessment, or guarantee of commercial performance.
A status applies only where explicitly assigned. Publication of a profile alone does not mean that an identity check has been completed.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Listed | A profile exists; an identity check has not been completed. |
| Profile claimed | Evidence supports a representative’s authority to manage or submit information. This is separate from the identity-check outcome. |
| Identity checked | The minimum identity and business-connection checks below have been completed, with supporting evidence recorded. |
| Review required | Information is disputed, materially changed, or due for renewed examination. |
| Unable to confirm | Available evidence is insufficient to complete the check. This is not, by itself, a finding of misconduct. |
Identify the business. Review should establish the legal or registered business name, jurisdiction, and registration identifier where applicable. Trading names, brands, subsidiaries, and parent companies must be distinguished. A group-level record should not automatically be treated as proof of a particular subsidiary or factory.
Consult authoritative records. Relevant official business registers or equivalent authorities are preferred for checking registered identity. Where available, Legal Entity Identifier records can also support checks of legal names and registered addresses. An LEI is not required for inclusion. Record availability and business-registration practices differ between jurisdictions.
Connect the profile to the business. The reviewer must examine evidence linking the identified business to the website or contact channel shown on its profile. Useful evidence may include an official filing naming the website, an authoritative record containing matching contact details, or confirmation through an independently established business channel. A matching logo, secure website connection, or plausible email address alone is insufficient.
For Identity checked status, both the business identity and its connection to the profile must be supported. Record the authoritative identity source and the evidence establishing the website or contact relationship. A company website and documents supplied by the same company are not independent corroboration merely because they appear in different places. Repeated directory entries should be traced to their original source.
Assess profile claims separately. A representative seeking control of a profile should demonstrate an appropriate connection and authority. Access to a company-domain email can contribute to that assessment but may not settle disputed authority. Request only proportionate supporting information, and keep private supporting documents out of the public profile.
Record the decision. The review record should identify the entity, sources consulted, access dates, fields checked, unresolved differences, reviewer, decision date, and next review due date. Any public status must make its scope and last-check date clear. Registry descriptions should be reported accurately; registration status must not be presented as proof of solvency or operating capability.
Handle uncertainty. Conflicting names, addresses, identifiers, or contact details require investigation before the status is assigned. A registered office is not necessarily a production facility. If evidence is inaccessible or a discrepancy remains unresolved, the outcome should explain the limitation.
Recheck when circumstances change. Completed checks should be scheduled for review within six months, and sooner after credible reports of identity changes, ownership changes, impersonation, or incorrect contact details. Overdue checks should move to Review required until refreshed.
Checks do not establish product quality, certification validity, production capacity, regulatory compliance, payment-account ownership, or suitability for an order unless a separate assessment expressly covers that matter. Commercial relationships must not determine the identity-check decision.
